ALL ABOUT GREEN

The combination of green building practices coupled with environmentally friendly technologies, such as geothermal heating and cooling, and solar and wind energy production, create a complete building system that is both responsible global citizenry and economically intelligent.

Air quality is an important component of our homes. People with sensitivity to allergens benefit from the high end, whole house filtration system provided by geothermal units. The HEPA filter reduces such allergens as dust, pollen and mites to the highest extent possible. In addition, the materials used are volatile organic compound (VOC) free, from the floors to the paint on the walls.

Green Building Practices
Recycling
Using non-toxic materials
Building to Energy Star requirements
Proper protection of the land

Heating and Cooling with Geothermal
Using the temperature of the earth to heat and cool the house
No dependence on fossil fuels
Very low operational costs
More comfortable environment

Solar Electricity
With the advent of the newest technologies, pv solar can be added to the house to provide electricity. These grid tie practices do not utilize batteries and are directly tied to the utility. If more energy is produced than used, energy is sold back to the utilities.

Addition of Solar panels to the house or the property allow for an independent production of electricity that subsidizes all or part of the energy required to run the home.

Wind Generated Electricity
In addition to solar, wind is added to the electrical grid by the addition of wind generators. Wind augments solar panels in the house when they are not being used during the nighttime or on cloudy days.
